Drag to Finder toolbar
Hold ⌘ and drag cdto.app into any open Finder window's toolbar. A + cursor confirms you're in the right spot.
First launch: macOS security prompt
On first launch, macOS Gatekeeper may show a security warning because cdto is not notarized yet. To open it: right-click cdto.app → Open → Open. You only need to do this once.

Yes, completely free and open source. MIT license. No ads, no subscriptions, no tracking.
cdto requires macOS 11 Big Sur or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
cdto is code-signed but not yet notarized through Apple's program (which requires a paid developer account). Right-click → Open to bypass Gatekeeper. This is a one-time step.
Use "Browse other app…" at the bottom of the picker. You can select any .app on your Mac. It opens the current Finder directory with that app.
Never. cdto launches when you click the toolbar icon, shows the picker, opens your chosen app, and immediately quits. Zero idle resource usage.
